Walk and Talk Therapy

Below are some links to articles regarding the practice of walking or some form of exercise in combination with psychotherapy. This is an unconventional way to practice psychotherapy outside the traditional four walls of an office. It is not for everyone, but for some, I believe it is invaluable. I am a  believer in the benefits of exercise and its effects on brain chemistry, mood shifting, and overall health. Please check out the below articles to find out more about this practice.

Could Walk and Talk Therapy be for you?

Please feel free to contact me regarding more information about how this form of therapy can work for you. Many studies have linked exercise with a decrease in depression and anxiety, as well as increased productivity. Sometimes exercise, such as walking, can access feelings and ease shifts in behavioral patterns more rapidly than traditional talk therapy.
